Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Officer to join their team in Jakarta. You will be responsible for executing regular tasks including data entry, vendor & tax payments, bank reconciliation, and more. Your strong understanding of accounting principles and Indonesian taxation will be crucial in this role.
What you'll do:
As an Accounting Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial tasks efficiently and independently. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include executing regular tasks such as data entry to SAP, managing vendor & tax payments, preparing sales and tax invoices among others. You will also be involved in preparing audit support documentation and collaborating closely with site administrators and other departments. Your ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high accuracy will be key to your success in this role.
- Execute regular tasks including data entry to SAP (VIM, Journal entry)
- Manage vendor & tax payments (EFT, Quantum)
- Handle employee reimbursement payments (Concur)
- Prepare sales and tax invoices
- Perform bank reconciliation
- Collect and distribute Tax certificate (Bukti Potong)
- Reconcile of the Balance sheet accounts
- Assist superiors / Managers in completing tasks
- Calculate & prepare Tax Reconciliation, Sales vs VAT equalizations, Withholding Tax Equalization including PPh23, PPh26, PPh4(2). Ensure compliance with tax statutory requirements.
- Prepare audit support documentation and work closely with external auditors for the completion of the statutory audit
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Accounting Officer position brings a wealth of experience in the field of accounting. You hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics, majoring in Accounting/Tax, from a university with strong accreditation. Your experience spans at least 3 years, preferably with trading/mining exposure. Your strong verbal and written communication skills in English will be crucial in this role. You are adept at managing multiple financial tasks efficiently and independently. Your experience using SAP (FI/CO module) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is essential for this role. Your strong understanding of accounting (PSAK & IFRS) and Indonesian taxation will be key to your success.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, majoring in Accounting/Tax from a university with strong accreditation
- At least 3 years of work experience, preferable in trading/mining exposure
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification preferred but not required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently and independently
- Experience using SAP (FI/CO module) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) is a must
- Strong understanding of accounting (PSAK & IFRS) and Indonesian taxation (local and international tax procedures/regulations, tax reporting, and tax audits)
- Possession of Brevet A, B, and C certificates is an advantage
