Tax Manager

A large manufacturing and production company in Jakarta is currently seeking a Tax Manager to be based in Semarang. In this job, you will oversee and manage all aspects of the business unit taxation whilst being accountable for financial and risk management operations of the company. This company has a family culture environment and low staff turnover.

About the Tax Manager Role:
This business critical role oversees timely taxation calculation and lodgement, tax refund, multiple entities, tax harmonisation between subsidiaries and other tax matters in Indonesia, and reports to the owner. Based in Semarang, this is a great opportunity to join the finance team of an established local company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure tax compliance with tax regulations for all taxes (VAT, WHT, CIT, PIT, etc.) within the timeframe
• Provide planning (short-term and strategic), consulting and be a subject-matter expert in tax matters
• Identify and mitigate tax risk
• Manage tax provision and tax compliance process
• Manage and coordinate tax audits
• Work with tax advisers in providing practical solutions
• Be the key contact person to tax officers
• Maintain tax reconciliation, tax balances on general ledger, including preparing tax provision and deferred tax
• Prepare tax returns and handle all information data requests in a timely manner
• Handle legal and corporate secretarial matters

To succeed in this Tax Manager role, you will need good communication skills and the persistence to learn and grow.

Key Requirements:

• University degree in finance/accounting/fiscal
• Accreditation in Accountancy or CPA is preferred
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
• Strong knowledge in local tax law and regulations
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in similar positions
• Knowledge in company tax returns is highly preferred
• Self-motivated individual and can work independently
• Attention to detail and good interpersonal skills
