A multinational automotive company is seeking an Accounting Manager to support their business in Jakarta. In this job you will be responsible for accounting operations, reporting and tax matters for the company along with other ad hoc issues.

About the Accounting Manager Role:
This position will be a critical role within the finance division reporting directly to the Financial Controller. Based in Jakarta, this is a great opportunity to join the finance team of a multinational automotive company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Accounting Operations: Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance with company policies, local tax regulations, and statutory requirements
• Financial Reporting: Produce accurate financial reports and statements by monitoring and analysing accounting data
• Month-End and Year-End Closing: Lead the timely completion of month-end, quarterly, and annual financial closings, including Profit and Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet (BS), and Cash Flow Statement (CFS), with meticulous record reconciliation
• Audit Preparation: Prepare for annual audits, cooperate with external and internal auditors, and coordinate the preparation of work papers
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with internal control objectives, local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAPs), and Financial Policies and Procedures
• Taxation: Calculate corporate income taxes, coordinate with tax advisers, and assist in tax litigation matters
• Auditors and Tax Agents: Liaise with auditors and tax agents for statutory audits and tax-related matters
• Board Reporting: Prepare board of director's materials related to financial information
• Team Leadership: Supervise and educate Finance and Accounting staff on accounting standards and tax regulations for daily operations
• Process Improvement: Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles, and drive continuous improvement in systems and procedures
• Project Management: Take on the role of Project Manager for various department projects/initiatives and assist in ad hoc projects as required
• Other Duties: Perform any other related duties and tasks as assigned by the FCA Director

To succeed in this role, candidate must possess good communication, analytical and inter-personal skills

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or ACCA certification is highly preferred
• Proven experience in accounting management, with a minimum of five years in a similar role
• In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations and statutory requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Must be fluent in English
