Finance Manager (Tangerang)

Save job

A leading manufacturing organisation in Tangerang is seeking a Finance Manager who will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health and operational excellence of their business. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to bring your expertise in finance and accounting to a company that values teamwork, professional growth, and a supportive workplace culture.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing critical financial operations that underpin the success of the organisation’s manufacturing activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing complex account reconciliations through advanced ERP systems, ensuring seamless cash flow management across multiple sites, and collaborating closely with both internal teams and external banking partners. You will play an integral part in budget preparation, forecasting, tax compliance, inventory control, and cost analysis—ensuring that every financial process aligns with best practices. Your ability to troubleshoot operational issues in SAP, support environmental programmes, and implement corrective actions when necessary will further enhance the department’s effectiveness. By fostering open communication channels with production, supply chain, and management teams, you’ll contribute significantly to a culture of transparency, accountability, and shared success.

  • You will perform monthly account reconciliations using SAP and Blackline to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
  • You will oversee account dollarisation processes and monitor profit centre/cost centre accounting activities for optimal financial management.
  • You will manage bank reconciliations and conduct daily monitoring of bank balances to guarantee fund availability for multiple locations.
  • You will ensure all supplier payments are processed promptly without delays or rejections, maintaining strong relationships with vendors.
  • You will communicate intensively with banking partners to resolve queries efficiently and maintain smooth transactional flows.
  • You will participate actively in budgeting and forecasting exercises, providing valuable insights for strategic planning.
  • You will monitor exchange rates closely and provide timely updates to the marketing team regarding customer-related transactions.
  • You will analyse actual cash flow versus forecasts, supporting informed decision-making across departments.
  • You will assist in preparing letters of credit (LC) and coordinate with bidding teams on relevant financial matters.
  • You will handle corporate tax matters, including PIB processing and BPN provision for export-import operations at various sites.

What you bring:

To excel as a Finance Manager within this respected manufacturing organisation, you should bring substantial hands-on experience from similar environments where you have managed complex financial operations. Your background should demonstrate not only technical proficiency but also an empathetic approach to team development—enabling others through guidance rather than direction. A solid foundation in cost analysis methods coupled with practical knowledge of budgeting cycles ensures you can navigate both routine tasks and unexpected challenges effectively. Your familiarity with ERP platforms like SAP allows you to streamline processes while maintaining rigorous standards of accuracy. In addition to your technical strengths, your interpersonal skills enable you to build trust-based relationships across departments—facilitating open dialogue between finance colleagues as well as production or supply chain stakeholders. Your commitment to continuous learning means you stay current on industry trends while proactively identifying areas for improvement within existing frameworks.

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field is essential; holding a master’s degree would be considered an advantage for this position.
  • A minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in finance and accounting roles is required, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial capacity within the manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost accounting methodologies such as bill of materials (BOM), cost of goods sold (COGS), standard costing, and variance analysis is crucial.
  • Comprehensive understanding of budgeting processes, forecasting techniques, cash flow management strategies, and overall financial planning is expected.
  • Familiarity with inventory accounting principles as well as internal control systems specific to manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience in preparing financial reports, ensuring tax compliance, coordinating audits, and managing regulatory requirements is important.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems—particularly SAP—and Microsoft Excel is necessary for effective performance in this role.
  • Strong analytical thinking abilities combined with keen business acumen and meticulous attention to detail are vital attributes for success.
  • Proven capability to manage and develop finance team members through supportive leadership approaches is required.
  • Excellent communication skills enabling close cooperation with production units, supply chain personnel, and senior management are essential; fluency in English is advantageous especially within multinational settings.
