Save job

A leading organisation in the manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their Karawang-based team. This is a unique opportunity for you to bring your expertise in accounting and people management to a company that values collaboration, professional growth, and a supportive environment.

What you'll do:

As an Accounting Manager based in Karawang, you will be entrusted with significant responsibility over the entire accounting function within a thriving manufacturing environment. Your day-to-day activities will involve guiding a large team through complex cycles of accounts payable, receivable, fixed assets management, tax compliance, and general ledger maintenance. You will be expected to uphold rigorous standards of accuracy by monitoring SAP entries and reconciliations while supporting your team’s professional development through ongoing coaching. Your ability to provide insightful analysis during monthly and annual closings will be crucial in shaping strategic decisions at the highest level. By fostering close collaboration with other departments and championing best practices in compliance and ethics, you will help create an environment where everyone can thrive together.

  • Oversee and guide a large accounting team responsible for the full spectrum of accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, tax compliance, and general ledger activities while ensuring adherence to established accounting standards and regulations.
  • Monitor all financial data entries and reconciliations within SAP systems to maintain exceptional levels of data integrity and accuracy for comprehensive management reporting.
  • Supervise the end-to-end process of tax compliance including VAT and PPh as well as asset management activities to minimise financial risks and ensure alignment with current regulatory requirements.
  • Drive the monthly and year-end closing processes by providing thorough analytical insights into the organisation’s financial performance with particular focus on the manufacturing context.
  • Support the development of team members through regular feedback, coaching sessions, and identifying relevant training opportunities to foster both individual and collective growth.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments such as operations, procurement, and senior management to ensure seamless integration of financial information across business units.
  • Review internal controls regularly to identify areas for improvement in efficiency or compliance while maintaining robust audit trails for all transactions.
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management that highlight key trends, variances, and recommendations for optimising cost structures or enhancing profitability.
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory reports and liaise with external auditors or regulatory bodies as required during audits or inspections.
  • Champion best practices in ethical accounting conduct while promoting an inclusive culture that values teamwork, dependability, and mutual respect.

What you bring:

To excel as an Accounting Manager in this organisation, your background should include extensive hands-on experience managing diverse teams within large-scale accounting operations—ideally gained from roles in the manufacturing sector. Your academic credentials must include at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting; additional certifications would further distinguish your profile. You should possess deep familiarity with SAP systems alongside strong analytical abilities that allow you not only to interpret but also communicate complex financial information clearly. Your interpersonal skills will be invaluable when mentoring staff or collaborating across departments; empathy, patience, and reliability are qualities that set you apart. A meticulous approach towards compliance coupled with up-to-date knowledge of local tax laws ensures that all statutory obligations are met seamlessly. Above all else, your commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone feels supported will contribute significantly towards building lasting success.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is essential for this position as it provides the foundational knowledge required for advanced financial management responsibilities.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in accounting with a proven track record as an Accounting Manager demonstrates your capability to handle complex tasks within large organisations.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing sizeable teams ensures you can nurture talent while maintaining high standards of performance across all accounting functions.
  • Previous exposure to the manufacturing industry is highly preferred as it equips you with valuable insights into sector-specific challenges related to cost control and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in operating SAP is required so you can efficiently oversee data entry processes and generate accurate reports for decision-making purposes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills combined with strategic thinking enable you to interpret complex financial data sets effectively while identifying actionable improvements.
  • High attention to detail ensures that every aspect of financial reporting meets stringent accuracy requirements vital for audit readiness or regulatory submissions.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards allows you to prepare clear statements that reflect true organisational performance without ambiguity or error.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cost accounting principles helps you support operational efficiency initiatives tailored specifically for manufacturing environments.
  • Thorough familiarity with local tax regulations enables you to manage compliance obligations confidently while minimising potential risks.
