This role offers you the chance to be part of a supportive team environment where your expertise will be valued and nurtured. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the business.

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Finance Accounting Manager based in Jakarta, you will be instrumental in supporting the smooth operation of the finance function. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve working closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure all financial transactions are processed efficiently and accurately. You will contribute significantly to the preparation of financial reports, assist with audits, support tax compliance efforts, and help maintain robust internal controls. By actively participating in budgeting activities and guiding junior colleagues, you will help foster a collaborative atmosphere that promotes shared success. Your ability to communicate effectively across departments will be essential as you work together towards achieving organisational goals.

  • Support the Finance Controller in overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, collaborating closely with other departments to gather necessary data.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining positive relationships with vendors and clients.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in budgeting activities by collecting financial information, analysing variances, and providing insightful recommendations for cost optimisation.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during audit processes by preparing required documentation and responding promptly to queries.
  • Review reconciliations of bank statements, ledgers, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Support tax reporting activities by compiling relevant data, assisting with filings, and staying updated on changes in tax regulations affecting the business.
  • Provide guidance to junior staff members within the finance department, fostering a nurturing environment that encourages knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects aimed at enhancing financial systems or implementing new accounting standards.

What you bring:

To excel as an Assistant Finance Accounting Manager, your background should include substantial hands-on experience within finance or accounting functions—preferably gained in sectors such as manufacturing or similar environments. Your technical proficiency with industry-standard software tools will enable you to manage complex datasets efficiently. A solid grasp of local regulatory requirements ensures compliance across all activities. Your interpersonal strengths will shine through when collaborating on cross-functional projects or mentoring junior staff members. Dependability is key: your colleagues rely on your meticulous approach when reviewing reconciliations or supporting audit preparations. Adaptability is equally important; thriving amid shifting priorities demonstrates your commitment not only to personal growth but also collective achievement.

  • Demonstrated experience in finance or accounting roles within medium to large organisations, ideally with exposure to manufacturing or related industries.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software such as SAP or Oracle as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Thorough understanding of Indonesian Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) along with local tax regulations relevant to corporate entities operating in Jakarta.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication abilities enabling you to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills allowing you to interpret complex financial data accurately while identifying areas for improvement.
  • High level of attention to detail combined with dependable organisational skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Commitment to ethical practices in handling sensitive financial information while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities within a dynamic team environment that values flexibility and inclusivity.
  • Experience supporting audit processes including preparation of documentation and coordination with external auditors is highly desirable.
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certifications such as CPA or CA would be advantageous.
