Head of Finance

Head of Finance Department A fast-growing company in Indonesia is looking to strengthen its management team with a seasoned financial professional. This role requires the ability to restructure a finance department, optimize process flows, and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Indonesian tax regulations.

The organization is expanding rapidly and is committed to continuing its growth within Greater Jakarta and across Indonesia. The Head of Finance Department will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping to analyze, strategize, and strengthen the company’s financial position. The position is based in West Jakarta

Objectives for the head of finance

• Take responsibility for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy and hiring needs
• Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same
• Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization
• Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization with strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows

Responsibilities

• Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract/grant compliance and reporting
• Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives
• Monitor business performance using tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for management and internal stakeholders
• Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities (e.g. financial reporting standards, Indonesian tax regulations, and local laws)

Required skills and qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in senior or executive-level finance roles
• Excellent leadership skills, with strong personal integrity
• Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
• Strong understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
• Working knowledge of raising capital outside traditional lines of credit
