What you'll do:

As Finance Manager based in Jakarta, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of all finance-related activities within the office. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing core accounting functions such as billing cycles, payables, receivables, and maintaining effective banking relationships. You’ll be responsible for coordinating statutory audits, preparing detailed management reports, overseeing budget processes, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Your ability to collaborate effectively with HR on payroll matters as well as external service providers will be crucial. Success in this role means not only delivering accurate financial results but also building trusted relationships across departments through your dependable nature and commitment to shared goals.

  • You will lead and manage all aspects of the office’s finance and accounting functions, including billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other essential financial transactions.
  • You will oversee banking relations, ensuring proper handling of all banking matters as well as compliance with filing requirements.
  • You will liaise closely with tax authorities, auditors, and tax agents to ensure full compliance with statutory year-end audits, statutory reporting obligations, and timely tax filings.
  • You will ensure accurate and timely completion of all financial and management reporting tasks, including month-end closing processes.
  • You will coordinate the preparation of the annual budget in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • You will manage cash flow forecasting activities to support robust financial planning for the office.
  • You will review financial data regularly and prepare comprehensive monthly and annual financial reports for management review.
  • You will collaborate with both the local HR team and external service providers on payroll processing and related matters to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • You will provide guidance, leadership, and direction to the local finance team, nurturing their development within a supportive framework.
  • You will support additional tasks and initiatives as assigned by the Office Managing Partner or regional Finance Manager.

What you bring:

To excel as Finance Manager in this Jakarta-based role, you bring proven experience managing finance operations within multinational settings—ideally including time spent in legal services or similarly regulated industries. Your academic background equips you with technical expertise while your hands-on experience ensures you’re comfortable navigating complex reporting requirements. You are known for your warm interpersonal style which helps foster trust among colleagues at all levels. Your fluency in English enables effective communication both internally and externally. Familiarity with payroll administration and tax regulations means you can handle sensitive matters discreetly while maintaining compliance standards.
