An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a respected organisation, where your expertise will be pivotal in supporting complex international and local accounting operations. You will play a key part in managing import and export transactions, ensuring tax compliance, and delivering accurate financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
What you'll do:
As a Finance Accounting Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing the full spectrum of accounting activities related to both domestic and international operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include processing import transactions, managing customs documentation, handling foreign currency dealings, and ensuring all cross-border tax requirements are met. You will also be responsible for preparing detailed financial statements, developing analytical reports such as variance analysis and cash flow projections, and supporting statutory reporting processes. In addition to these core tasks, you will coordinate closely with external auditors during year-end reviews, maintain the general ledger, perform bank reconciliations across multiple currencies, manage accounts payable/receivable processes, oversee fixed asset registers, and ensure inventory valuation is accurate. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams as well as external partners such as freight forwarders and auditors. Your contribution will directly support the organisation’s ability to operate smoothly across borders while maintaining full compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Process all import transactions efficiently while ensuring customs documentation is accurate and compliant with current regulations.
- Handle foreign currency transactions with precision, applying Incoterms effectively in cost calculations for international trade.
- Manage offshore VAT obligations as well as cross-border tax requirements to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Reconcile import duties and customs charges regularly, maintaining clear records for audit purposes.
- Maintain strong control over transactions between manufacturers, freight forwarders, and local distributors to support seamless supply chain operations.
- Calculate and process withholding taxes along with any other applicable taxes in accordance with Indonesian law.
- Prepare and submit monthly and annual tax returns (SPT), ensuring timely compliance with statutory deadlines.
- Handle correspondence related to tax audits and liaise with authorities as needed to resolve queries or issues promptly.
- Ensure transfer pricing documentation is up-to-date and fully compliant with relevant regulations.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly and annual financial statements alongside statutory reports required by regulatory bodies.
What you bring:
To excel as a Finance Accounting Manager in this organisation, you will bring a solid foundation in accounting principles supported by formal education at degree level. Your previous experience should reflect hands-on involvement in managing complex import/export transactions as well as deep familiarity with Indonesian tax laws. You are adept at using advanced Excel features for data analysis and have demonstrated your ability to prepare comprehensive financial statements under tight deadlines. Your fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia allows you to communicate clearly with colleagues from various backgrounds while your exposure to ERP systems streamlines daily operations. Ideally, you have worked within environments that require close coordination between multiple stakeholders such as manufacturers, freight forwarders, distributors, auditors, and regulatory bodies. Professional certifications or experience gained at leading accounting firms further highlight your commitment to excellence. Above all else, your approach is marked by dependability, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, sensitivity towards others’ perspectives, willingness to share knowledge generously within the team environment, and a genuine enthusiasm for continuous learning.

- Experience working at a Big 4 accounting firm would be considered an advantage for this role.
- Professional certification such as Brevet A/B or CPA (or currently pursuing) demonstrates commitment to ongoing professional development.
