What you'll do:
As Finance Accounting Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of finance operations within a dynamic logistics environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing complex accounting processes, preparing critical reports for both internal management and external statutory bodies, and ensuring timely tax submissions. You will collaborate closely with various teams across the organisation as well as external partners such as auditors and tax advisors. Success in this role requires you to champion best practices in internal controls while fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement. By providing insightful analysis to senior leadership teams regionally and globally, you will help shape strategic decisions that drive organisational success. Your ability to nurture talent within your team will be essential in building a dependable finance function that upholds the highest standards of integrity.
- Oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations, ensuring monthly closing processes are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Manage the preparation and submission of all required tax filings for corporate income tax, PPh 21, 23, 4(2), and VAT for both local and offshore transactions.
- Develop annual budgets in partnership with key stakeholders and monitor budget performance against actual results throughout the year.
- Establish robust internal-control procedures and accounting policies that align with PSAK and IFRS standards, continuously improving these frameworks as needed.
- Perform IFRS–PSAK adjustments with particular focus on IFRS 16 (Leases), ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the local accounting team by allocating tasks effectively, monitoring accuracy, and supporting professional growth.
- Provide detailed monthly operational and financial analysis to regional and group finance teams to inform strategic decisions.
- Liaise proactively with external auditors, tax advisors, and local authorities to ensure full compliance with statutory requirements.
- Safeguard financial integrity by maintaining objectivity in financial decisions and reporting, free from undue business influence.
What you bring:
To thrive as Finance Accounting Manager, you will bring extensive experience gained through progressively responsible roles in finance or accounting. Your background should include hands-on involvement with audit or assurance functions—ideally within public accounting firms—and deep familiarity with PSAK standards as well as Indonesian tax regulations. Advanced technical skills using ERP platforms coupled with expert-level Excel abilities will allow you to manage complex data efficiently. Your fluency in English ensures clear communication across diverse teams; Mandarin proficiency further enhances your ability to engage internationally. Experience within logistics or multinational environments equips you to navigate industry-specific challenges while exposure to listed-company reporting adds valuable perspective. Above all, your commitment to accuracy, accountability, process improvement, and nurturing team members sets you apart as a trusted partner who can uphold financial integrity under any circumstances.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is required for this position.
- Professional certification such as CPA or equivalent is highly preferred for candidates seeking this role.
- At least eight years of progressive experience in accounting or finance is necessary; prior experience in public accounting firms (audit or assurance) is especially valued.
- Comprehensive knowledge of PSAK standards alongside Indonesian tax regulations is essential for effective performance.
- Hands-on experience using ERP systems combined with advanced proficiency in Excel will enable you to excel in this role.
- Clear communication skills—both written and spoken English—are mandatory; Mandarin language proficiency is highly desirable for cross-border collaboration.
- Experience working within logistics, freight forwarding or multinational corporate environments would be advantageous for applicants.
- Exposure to listed-company reporting standards as well as group consolidation processes is considered beneficial but not required.
- Demonstrated accountability, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving abilities are crucial attributes for success here.
- Proven capability in building processes from scratch within startup-like settings along with strong leadership skills for team development.
