Finance Accounting Tax Manager (Marketplace)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Accounting Tax Manager to join their team in Jakarta. This role offers the opportunity to manage and ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day activities of the Finance Department, while also working collaboratively with other functional teams to support business strategies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, particularly within e-commerce or marketplace environments.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Accounting Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the daily operations of the Finance Department. Your responsibilities will span across various aspects of finance accounting, from preparing balance sheets to managing internal reviews. You will also be tasked with supporting compliance reporting efforts such as GST returns, statutory audits, and tax filings. Your collaborative skills will be put to use as you work alongside other functional teams to support business strategies. Additionally, your expertise will be crucial in managing communications with external auditors regarding financial statements and accounting issues. You will also supervise local accounting standards application and identify and resolve issues that arise. Your role will involve implementing and maintaining reporting procedures to ensure compliance with internal control requirements. Furthermore, you will continuously assess the close process and re-engineer processes to reduce timing to close the financial period. Your participation in various projects will also be required.

• Manage and ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day activities of the Finance Department.
• Perform a full spectrum of Finance accounting functions for the company, including preparation of balance sheet, profit and loss and reporting packages.
• Support completion of GST return, statutory audit, tax filings and other compliance reporting.
• Work collaboratively with other functional teams to support business strategies.
• Manage communications with external auditors on financial statements and accounting issues.
• Coordinate annual external audits and quarterly reviews for subsidiaries.
• Supervise local accounting standards application, issue identification and resolution.
• Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements.
• Perform continuous assessment of the close process and process re-engineering to reduce timing to close the financial period.
• Participate in projects as required.

What you bring:

As the ideal candidate for the Finance Accounting Tax Manager role, you bring a wealth of experience in finance, with at least 5 years spent in a supervisory or managerial position. Your background in e-commerce or marketplace environments will be highly beneficial. You are proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, and have experience working within a general ledger system, with Oracle Netsuite being a plus. Your ability to handle the full cycle of the closing process is essential. You have demonstrated your ability to gather and communicate data logically, accurately, and concisely. Your experience in handling complex cash flow management sets you apart. You are meticulous, highly organized, and possess strong analytical skills. Lastly, your strong leadership abilities and interpersonal skills make you an effective team builder.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as Supervisor or Manager in Finance, preferably in e-commerce / Marketplace.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
• Experience working within a general ledger system (Oracle Netsuite is a plus) and full cycle of the closing process.
• Demonstrated ability to gather and communicate data logically, accurately, and concisely.
• Experience in handling complex cash flow management.
• Meticulous attention to detail, high level of organization, and strong analytical skills.
• Strong leadership, team building and interpersonal skills.
