Finance & Cost Control Manager (Mandarin Speaker)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance & Cost Control Manager to oversee their financial operations. This role involves managing daily finance, accounting, and tax operations, including cost control, reporting, and planning & analysis. The successful candidate will ensure the site operates within budget and complies with all financial regulations while maintaining high standards of financial reporting and control.

What you'll do:

As a Finance & Cost Control Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the company's overall financial operation. Your day-to-day tasks will involve ensuring the efficiency of treasury, accounting, and tax functions. You will be responsible for preparing budgets, managing cash flows, ensuring accurate accounting practices, carrying out tax responsibilities accurately, developing internal controls to safeguard company assets, leading the annual budgeting process, and ensuring timely reporting. Your ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision will be crucial in this dynamic working environment.

• Ensure the efficiency of the company’s overall financial operation by managing and controlling all aspects in Treasury, Accounting and Tax
• Prepare & control budget, manage cash & bank receipts, payments and monitor fund movements
• Ensure accurate & timely accounting practices for monthly and yearly closing-book and consolidation to produce accurate financial reports & Cost Control
• Carry out all Tax responsibilities accurately and timely
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud
• Lead the process of annual budget and quarter forecast, liaise with all departments and stakeholders to ensure numbers are reliable as per corporate guideline
• Ensure timely and reliable reporting as per corporate reporting timeline, with accurate numbers and analysis

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Finance & Cost Control Manager position brings a wealth of experience in finance management. You have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or Engineering. With at least 10 years of experience at a middle managerial level, you have proven your ability to manage finances effectively. Your exposure to processing plants or industrial/manufacturing industries gives you an edge. Your fluency in Mandarin will be essential in this role. Above all else, your high-level critical thinking skills coupled with your reliability under pressure make you an excellent fit for this role.

• Bachelor’s (or above) degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years experience at a middle managerial level
• Proven working experience as a Finance & Cost Control Manager
• Exposure to a processing plant, industrial or manufacture industry is a plus
• Fluency in Mandarin is required
• High level critical thinking, analysis and reasoning skills are mandatory
• Reliable individual able to work under pressure with minimum supervision
