What you'll do:
As a Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and managing comprehensive tax strategies that align with state and local regulations. You will oversee the preparation and filing of various tax returns, while staying abreast of new tax laws that could impact the organisation. Your collaborative nature will be key as you work closely with finance and accounting teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting. Additionally, your expertise will be relied upon during tax audits, as well as in managing relationships with external tax advisors. Your role will also involve implementing internal controls and policies aimed at minimising risk while optimising tax efficiencies.
- Develop and manage tax strategies to ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, including corporate income taxes, sales taxes, and other related filings.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on new tax laws and regulations affecting the organisation.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective tax planning.
- Provide guidance and support for tax audits and manage relationships with external tax advisors.
- Implement and monitor internal controls and tax policies to minimise risk and optimise tax efficiencies.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Tax Manager position brings a wealth of experience in the field. With a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, you have spent at least 5 years honing your skills in tax management or a similar role. Your strong understanding of tax laws has been proven through your successful track record in planning and compliance. As an excellent communicator with superb analytical skills, you are comfortable working both independently or as part of a team. Your proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite will be essential in this role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or other relevant certification preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in tax management or a related role, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
- 3+ years in managerial level.
- Fluent in English.
- Proven track record of successful tax planning and compliance.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
