Tax Manager

About the Tax Manager Role:
Reporting to the Finance Director based in Indonesia, you will manage the tax department, overview and responsible for all tax issues for all entities. You will be responsible for all tax planning, compliance, tax control, tax reports of all tax issues, and ensure the company is in line with policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor the tax-related business process and workflows in order to ensure compliance towards tax and transfer pricing framework as well as responsible for on-time submission of all required tax documents
• Monitor the implementation of internal procedures and potentially SOX controls in the tax area
• Supervise and review the preparation of state Corporate Income Tax Returns (CITR) and related work papers to ensure its compliance with Indonesian Tax Regulations
• Manage Corporate Tax Projection, all tax accounts and any related party transactions to be complied with arm's length principles including the related supporting documents
• Coordinate with tax personnel and non-tax personnel in order to design tax planning strategies that align with business objectives
• Manage tax processes by understanding the business process with matrix structures in order to identify possible tax audit findings and propose a mitigation tax action plan in the future
• Lead the Tax Audit process by ensuring all working papers/supporting documents are prepared accurately and timely in submission, identifying any potential issues, and coordinating with other relevant functions to minimise the risk of the tax litigation processes
• Keep up to date of the tobacco business industry and excise-related matters to be able to create solid tax planning that improves the business process to support company objectives by coordinating with informative support of management requests in order to assist in the filing of DIT, planning processes, and other reports and position papers
• Continue efforts to seek opportunities in process improvement for efficiency also conduct regular tax refreshments for other functions to create tax awareness for saving company costs

To succeed in this Tax Manager role, you must possess strong end-to-end tax skills.

Key Requirements:

• Candidates with a degree in taxation or accounting or fiscal administration is preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax role or tax management or tax consulting in an MNC or in a international tax consultant firm
• Strong prior experience in tax audit – starting from review report, dispute resolutions, settlements and managing relationships with tax authorities
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadline and have a good ability to work in team environment
• Good attention to detail, good time management and organisational skills
• Solid communication skills
