About the VP Corporate Finance Role:
As the VP Corporate Finance, you will provide investment advice, negotiate and structure fundraising and finance details. You must have experience in fundraising multi-million dollar investments, and have an excellent track record of strategy planning and managing the relationship with the existing investors and potential investors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and lead fundraising campaign strategies to further scale and grow the business
• Lead the finance team to develop a financial budget, oversee financial operations, review financial information, and regularly assess organisational performance against annual budget and long-term strategy for growth
• Assist the CFO in fundraising from VC and/or other investors. Responsibilities include creating a pitch deck, preparing the data room, assisting and answering due diligence questions, and entertaining the investors
• Represent the company to financial-related partners including financial institutions, existing and potential investors, outside executives, auditors, etc.
• Develop systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO/investors and make actionable recommendations regarding business commercial and operational strategy
• Support the fundraising process, including building investor presentations and analysing customer data
• Deliver weekly/monthly/quarterly analysis and reporting of financial results, including variances to the business plan, to ensure key issues, risks, and business driversBuild and manage the investor facing financial model that is used as a basis for our long-term planning and investor communications
• Synthesise/distil key financial and business insights for leadership - analyse results, business KPIs, assessing risk, and communicate timely risks and opportunities

To succeed in this VP Corporate Finance role, you must possess good communication and strong business partnering skills.

Key Requirements:

• Finance and accounting degree or relevant degree from a top university; MBA or certifications in accounting/finance is preferred
• Five to eight years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, capital market, M&A, or other related sectors
• Must have experience working in a startup company
• High adaptability and flexibility to support the company and passion in setting up an organisation
• Strong strategic finance skill sets evidenced by the ability to analyse business models, forecast financing needs, raise capital and invest resources in a growth dynamic where short-term cash burn is required to build longer-term value
• Strong financial modelling, financial budgeting, business valuation, corporate finance, and deal structuring experience
• Strong communication and pitching skills to pitch to local and foreign VCs
