Commercial controller

Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to the commercial team in providing financial guidance to support decision-making, the incumbent is expected to oversee and manage financial performance and strategic direction of the organization, analyse financial data, provides strategic insight, and support decision-making processes to optimize business performance and profitability.

For this role we are seeking a candidate with experience as a Commercial Controllerin a b2b environment. Someone who can challenge the business and contribute to growth. With an analytical mindset.

Responsibilites as Commercial Controller

• Developing forecasts, budgets & financial plan

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with overall business objectives, for further development of the best-fit financial models for sales forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning

• Providing insights and recommendations that reinforce efficiency and profitability

support the management in strategic decision making through comprehensive financial reports that provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis, and any other measures that reinforce efficient resource allocations and enhance profitability

• Ensure compliance & mitigation strategies

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal control procedures, likewise Identify and assess financial risks, proposing strategies to mitigate potential impacts

• Sustainable improvements of financial reporting and analysis capabilities

Identify process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the finance function, implement best practices to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities

• Data management and documentation

Ensuring good data documentation practices, starting from planning, execution & operation of policies & processes that manage and improve data quality, governance, security and accessibility, that are essentials for data driven decisions

• Team- and self development

Supporting and ensuring the implementation of predetermined development programs that address the current and future needs of the organization as well as international career aspirations.

Requirements for the Commercial Controller

• 7 years plus experience in a B2B environment
• Commercial background
• Master eduction is preferred
• Willingness to travel
